Ok, another small update, but progress is still progress.
After a quick check with some calipers and a trip to the hardware store I came home with some m6x20 bolts and washers.
It turns out that the intercooler is threaded for these but the radiator will take the old self tapping screws.
The only real issue was getting the new AC condenser to fit to

My Edition30 came with Dunlop Sportmaxx RT2 tyres - they'#039re decent and I'#039ve had the RT1 tyre in the past.
But my go to tyre is always the Goodyear Eagle F1 - amazing tyre, have had it on a number of cars including my V6 Mk1 Audi TT.
Have just had Goodyear Efficientgrip performance 2 tyres fitted to the Rav4, but too early to tell. nbsp Have had Efficientgrip 1s

I know this is way too late and would be interested to know if you completed this mod? I just changed out to a gti front bumper on My mk5 golf fsi 1.6 today. Was certainly not a straight fit and required cutting and finessing to get it to fit.

Interested in this thread as I (like many it seems) have this idle misfire type thing every now and again. nbsp Goes away as soon as throttle is pressed, never have a problem when driving around. nbsp Have the oil control rings to replace when I find the time, hoping it is that. nbsp I have no codes or erro

Hello guys, im new here. I brought a edition 30 cheap 3 years ago that needed engine work. All done, runs a dream. A month or so ago my drivers door lock stopped working. Ive been a mechanic for 10 years and this one has got me stumped. I know mk5s are notorious for door lock problems and was well aware of the normal faults. My drive door no longer locks or unlocks from

Not exactly plug and play though as you have to drop the pump and drill into it, so as it says on the page, a last resort. Would be good to know the oil pressure numbers at the different RPMs before taking a decision on where to throw time and money.

I havent touched the vac pump and no ETA when I'#039ll get to it as I was busy fitting S3 brakes front and back and refreshing the turbo with an anti surge core. I'#039ve replaced the 3 plastic rings around the VVT adjuster but no difference. I have massive misfires on cyl 3 when idle. It sometimes logs 20, sometimes 80 before it reset. My camshafts look worn out, pitted and rusted so la
Brake pads - which type?
Last Poster: slipd in Mk5 General Area on June 30, 2025, 07:19:03 am
Hi guys,
Is there a way of finding out which brake pads you have? I notice on most of the part sites that there are a couple of variants. I've got a standard, 1.6 FSi BLF.
Thanks!
